The terminal at the Scott County Airport will soon be named for the late Senator Howard H. Baker Junior.
County Commissioners approved renaming the terminal at their meeting on Monday to honor Baker's memory and recognize his service to his home town.
Baker died at his Huntsville home in June following complications from a stroke.
Baker served 18 years in the U.S. Senate, including time as Senate Majority Leader. He was also Chief of Staff for President Ronald Reagan and Ambassador to Japan.
