Some teenage girls said yes to their prom dress Sunday afternoon.
The Alpha Chi Omega sorority at UT held the dress sale.
It allowed the public to buy discounted prom dresses for a good cause.
Women sold their gently used formal attire to be resold at a lower price.
The proceeds will support victims of domestic violence.
"We're just looking for a way to help the community and not make girls pay six hundred, eight hundred dollars for some of these dresses, especially ones that are never going to be worn again and that are in perfect condition" said Hannah Byrd, the Philanthropy Chair at Alpha Chi Omega.
Some dresses went for as low as $10.
Any items not sold will be donated to an organization giving away prom dresses for free.
