VONORE, Tenn. — A company that offers supply chain consulting and services notified the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development that it plans to close its Vonore location soon, and around 80 workers in the area will be impacted.
Ryder Integrated Logistics filed a WARN Notice with the state on Feb. 13. In it, the company said job losses are expected to start on June 16 and the company's final closure would be on June 30. It also said workers at the company are not represented by a collective bargaining unit and don't have bumping rights.
The WARN Notice said the East Local Workforce Development Area's rapid response team would coordinate services between the employer and the affected workers. The Dislocated Worker Unit is available at 615-253-6355, according to the notice.
Ryder has locations across the U.S. and its Vonore location, a Ryder Logistics Solutions Center, is at 90 Deer Crossing Road.
