Rural Metro: Crews respond to house fire in Powell subdivision; no injuries reported

According to Rural Metro, the house fire was reported in the Broadacres subdivision.

POWELL, Tenn. — Rural Metro crews responded to a house fire in the Powell area on Monday, Dec. 25. It was reported in the Broadacres subdivision at around 4:30 p.m., according to a release from Rural Metro.

It asked people to avoid the area while crews worked to extinguish the fire.

Rural Metro said it happened on the 7700 block of Keswick Road and when crews arrived, they saw fire coming from the roof of the single-family home. A news release said the fire burned through the home's attic space.

No injuries were reported though and all occupants left the home before crews arrived.  The American Red Cross is helping the home's occupants, according to Rural Metro.
