KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — On Sunday, crews responded to a house fire in the 2000 block of Bales Road, Rural Metro Fire said.
After crews arrived, they found an abandoned single-wide mobile home completely engulfed in flames with fire spreading into the neighboring woods. Both the house and brush fire were contained, according to the department.
Rural Metro said water had to be shuttled in by water tenders due to the distance of the home from any hydrants.
No injuries have been reported, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Rural Metro.
