ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a total of two people were injured Monday after a car went out of its lane in Roane County and hit a school bus on Mountain View Road.

It said the driver of the car was injured along with its 8-year-old passenger. Nobody on the school bus was injured, according to the THP. A preliminary report said there were six juveniles on the bus, ranging from 6 years old to 15 years old, along with its driver.

The report said the car was driving south on Mountain View Road and the bus was heading north. It said the car failed to stay in its lane and hit the bus on its left front side. The bus went partially off the right side of the road and hit a tree, while the car stopped in the roadway.

No charges were filed in the crash, according to the preliminary report.
