NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Cheatham County Sheriff's Office said crews have finished searching Cheatham Dam for the day after they could not find any leads on the disappearance of Riley Strain.
The search for the missing Missouri college student moved from the Cumberland River to the Cheatham Dam in Ashland City. According to a report from WSMV4 Nashville, the crews were opening and closing the dam as part of their search efforts.
CCSO said it had been in contact with the Metro Nashville Police Department, which requested a search from the county line to the dam. It is about 42 miles downstream from Nashville.
Officials said there were no other search efforts planned in the area. The focus of the search was concentrated on the dam and crews found nothing connected to Strain, WSMV said.
He has been missing since March 8. The Mizzou student was in Nashville for a fraternity trip and disappeared after getting kicked out of a bar.
Search crews continue to search for the 22-year-old in Cumberland River.
