KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission approved plans Thursday for a new residential drug and alcohol treatment facility on Clinton Highway.

The 48-bed facility, owned by Bradford Evolve Treatment Services, will be next to Master Services Concrete Repair. It'll provide 24/7 medical, non-medical and therapeutic care for those seeking addiction rehabilitation.

The facility will include a two-story multi-family structure and a separate single-story building for meetings and activities.

The commission's approval comes with four conditions:

  1. Compliance with all applicable requirements of the Knoxville Zoning Ordinance.
  2. Meeting all standards set by the Knoxville Engineering Department.
  3. Adherence to all requirements of the Knoxville Plans Review and Inspections Department.
  4. Fulfillment of all applicable requirements from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

The timeline for the facility's construction is unknown.
