KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A group of preschoolers at Primrose School helped address homelessness across the Knoxville community. The preschoolers collected around 100 cleaning items and gave them to Care Cuts — an organization that provides services like haircuts and free meals for homeless people.
The organization also provides housing services for homeless people. The preschool collected mops, brooms, buckets and laundry baskets for formally unhoused people who found a home.
The donations were delivered on Thursday morning to CareCuts. The organization is entirely run by volunteers, according to its website, and includes a team of cosmetologists, barbers and salon owners. Volunteer support staff give homeless people hospitality services by serving food, distributing clothing and helping them move forward from homelessness.
