Power restored after downed tree causes power outage to thousands in Alcoa

According to Alcoa dispatch, the tree fell and hit powerlines, which caused more than 4,000 residents to be without power.

ALCOA, Tenn. — More than 4,000 Alcoa residents were without power after a tree fell on private property Monday evening, according to Alcoa dispatch.

They said that the tree hit powerlines causing the outage. According to the city of Alcoa outage map, the Ellejoy Road area was the most affected.

Power was restored around 8:30 p.m.
