KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE (1/6): The Knoxville Police Department has identified the victim who was found dead in a Western Heights apartment Friday afternoon.
KPD said the victim has been identified as 39-year-old Andrea Moore from Knoxville.
On Saturday morning, KPD said that the man who was charged with her murder turned himself in late Friday night and is now in custody.

The Knoxville Police Department said detectives were working at the scene of a death inside of a Western Heights apartment Friday afternoon.
According to a post on social media, the scene of the death was at an apartment on W. Oldham Avenue. Friday evening, KPD said a man was charged for killing a woman at the apartment Friday afternoon.
KPD said officers were searching for Reginald Depriest, 26, in connection with the murder. He is charged with first-degree murder.
The police department said officers responded to the apartment at around 4:10 p.m. on Friday and found a woman dead inside. As an investigation into the death continued, they said they identified Depriest as the suspect.
