Pigeon Forge authorities locate missing man

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — Update (7/4):  The Pigeon Forge Police Department said officials have located a missing man. 

Jason Lee Land was first reported missing on Wednesday, PFPD said.

Land was located late Wednesday night in Pigeon Forge, according to PFPD.

The Pigeon Forge Police Department said it was searching for a man reported missing on Wednesday. The police department said Jason Lee Land, 31, was last seen at around 10 a.m. near the Mill Creek Resort and Campground.

It said he left the area on foot, and authorities did not know any information about the direction he could have traveled. He was wearing a dark navy blue tank top and dark denim blue jeans. The police department also said he has a "big Egyptian tattoo of a cross" on his right shoulder.

The police department said he had a medical condition but did not know if his condition would prevent him from returning safely. The police department also said Land is from another state and was unfamiliar with the area.
