SCOTT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a 65-year-old woman died Thursday after she was hit by an SUV.
According to a preliminary report, Lisa Rosser stopped on the right shoulder of the northbound side of Scott Highway to get her phone, which had fallen off her vehicle into the southbound lane. While crossing the road, THP said she walked into the path of the SUV and was hit.
Charges were not pending for the driver of the SUV, according to THP. It said the crash happened near 13271 Scott Highway at around 6:51 p.m.
