KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — There are plenty of ways to enjoy the weekend for kids and kids at heart. The Bijou Theatre has an event planned to bring people together and give children a chance to have some fun.
"WDVX Kidstuff" will broadcast live Saturday morning from the Bijou Theatre and will feature Sean McCollough as host with Billy Jonas as a special guest.
McCollough said he is a longtime fan of performing for a younger audience because "they're honest and like to have fun."
"One of the wonderful things about young audiences is, they're uninhabited," said McCollough, "Kids are the ones who sing along, who will participate in that way. I kind of wish we all would do that still."
The show will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. EDT at the Bijou and the doors will open at 9:30 a.m. The event is completely free to everyone.
"Most Saturdays the show is a mix of recorded and live music from inside the WDVX studio, but Sean hosts a special live performance edition every 2nd Saturday of the month that is free & open to the public!" the theatre said.
