Developers will provide a sneak peek inside the nearly complete renovations at the historic Knoxville South High School Thursday.
Dover Development has converted the high school into senior living apartments.
The building opened as South Knoxville Junior High in 1937, and had been vacant since 1991.
Developers will provide a tour of the facility and model apartments for real estate and land use experts with Urban Land Institute. The conversion costs more than $15 million.
The city gained the property in 2015 with the intent to renovate it. The city issued a request for proposals for the building in August, and Dover Development was the only respondent.
