ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Two teens might face charges after suffering injuries in a crash on Old Clinton Highway early Thursday evening.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 6:32 p.m.
The report said the first car was driven by a 17-year-old. And in that car, was a 16-year-old passenger. The second car involved in the crash was driven by 21-year-old David Scholfield.
The teen was traveling east on Old Clinton Highway, while Scholfield was traveling south on Clinton Highway.
The 17-year-old failed to stop for the stop sign and went into the southbound lanes, crashing into Scholfied, the report said. Scholfield was then sent across five lanes and onto the shoulder of the road.
According to the report, the teens were the only people injured in the crash. THP said the two may face charges pending the outcome of its investigation.
