KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Small Business Saturday is fast approaching, meant to encourage shoppers across the United States to spend some time in small businesses and local shops while they search for gifts ahead of the holidays.
On the second Sunday of each month, vendors usually head to the Old City to set up booths and sell their creations to people in the area for the Old City Market. It offers people a chance to find gifts and unique creations they may not be able to find anywhere else.
Organizers are shifting the market to Saturday afternoon this week, as part of Small Business Saturday. It's an annual event that happens the day after Black Friday.
At Saturday's event, more than 30 vendors will line up along Jackson Avenue offering a variety of different products. Organizers said they curated the "most unique and talented vendors" for shoppers.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 30 on West Jackson Avenue.
