OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — An Anderson County Grand Jury has indicted a former Oak Ridge High School Softball Boosters treasurer, the Tennessee Comptroller's Office said.
An investigation from the comptroller's office, which began after school officials reported questionable transactions, found that Mindy Orlandino misappropriated at least $1,622 in club funds in 2023.
Orlandino performed ATM cash withdrawals from the booster club bank account, used the club's debit card for personal purchases and failed to turn over a fee she collected from another family for the softball team's banquet, according to the comptroller's office.
In August 2023, Orlandino deposited $1,400 of her money to the club's bank account, the comptroller's office said.
Orlandino was indicted on one count of theft over $1,000 and one count of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card over $1,000, according to the comptroller's office.
