KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — According to the Rural Metro Fire Department, a Knox County home suffered heavy heat and smoke damage Friday following a house fire in the 9300 block of Pedigo Road.
RMF responded to a call about a reported house fire at around 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Crews arrived to find heavy fire on the back side of the house that had spread into the attic, RMF said.
According to the department, multiple people were inside the house when the fire started but made it outside safely with assistance from the American Red Cross.
RMF said no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
