KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Fire Department put out a small fire at Neyland Stadium Tuesday morning.
KFD received a call about a small rubbish fire in the area of Gate 15 at 10:37 a.m. After arriving at the scene, crews saw light smoke coming from that area.
After an investigation, KFD said the fire was located in a mechanical room near the entranceway. They also said the fire happened while workers were using a torch on level two of the stadium.
According to KFD, the room suffered some smoke and fire damage.
No injuries have been reported at this time. No mechanical equipment was damaged.
