Newport teen with cerebral palsy surprised with tickets to see her favorite artist

Kari Shultz not only received tickets to see Morgan Wallen's show in Charlotte, but she will also get to meet the country music star himself.

NEWPORT, Tenn. — A Newport 16-year-old, Kari Shultz, got the surprise of a lifetime with tickets to a Morgan Wallen concert.

Shultz was recently highlighted in a Newport Plain Talk article for her love of music and the East Tennessee country music star. The story talked about Shultz's battle with cerebral palsy and how music helped her to stay positive. Wallen's own mother came across the story and helped to organize the surprise.

In a video, Shultz's dad can be seen reading the email he received. As he reads the message from his phone, she exclaims in excitement.

"Morgan's amazing mom, Leslie, saw this article on your incredible daughter. She's truly inspiring," he said. "We'd love to invite Kari and guests to a show in Charlotte, North Carolina."

The surprise not only includes tickets to Wallen's concert in Charlotte in June but also includes a meet-and-greet between Shultz and her favorite musician.
