Great Smoky Mountains Natl. Park — UPDATE (3/10): The Great Smoky Mountain National Park reopened Newfound Gap Road Sunday afternoon.
They said to watch for snow and ice when in the area.

The Great Smoky Mountain National Park said they are temporarily closing Newfound Gap Road Saturday evening due to winter weather.
The Smokies closed the road at 7 p.m. The National Weather Service has not issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the area.
