Knoxville — In East Tennessee we are so fortunate to have mountains, lakes and forests where we can see all kinds of animals.
September 4th, people across the U.S. are celebrating all creatures for National Wildlife Day. Created in honor of the late Steve Irwin, the day is a teaching opportunity to educate people on animals and their preservation.
Ijams Nature Center in South Knoxville rehabilitates injured or deformed animals and uses them in education programs.
