MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. — A Monroe County man has been charged on multiple counts following an afternoon vehicle pursuit, according to the Madisonville Police Department.
According to MPD, officers first observed Jimmy Dale Presley Jr. speeding in a red Mustang on Highway 441 North in the area of Ballplay Road around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 8. Officers say the vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic and passing vehicles improperly.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but MPD says the vehicle failed to stop. A short vehicle pursuit ensued before ending on Nilesferry Road in the area of Stinnett Road. Both Presley and the vehicle were located later at a Patterson Street residence.
Jimmy Dale Presley Jr. is now in custody. He has been charged with felony evading, reckless driving, driving on a revoked license for the ninth offense, resisting arrest, reckless driving on roadways laned for traffic and improper passing.
The Vonore Police Department assisted in Presley's apprehension.
