KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (1/15): The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported the missing 81-year-old man was found safe.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office said John Duran is with his family.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for a missing man who was last seen in the West Knoxville area.
81-year-old John Arthur Duran is 5'7" with gray hair, possibly wears glasses and walks with a cane, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies reported Duran had left his home on Farr Drive en route to Costco in a Black 2003 Jaguar with a Tennessee handicap tag PD74349 at around 4:30 p.m.
Duran was last seen wearing a black jacket, green/gray pants and brown shoes, KCSO said. He also has a name tattooed on his forearm, “Dorothy.”
TBI said he has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.
