HCSO: Missing Hamblen County girl found safe after family was 'extremely worried'

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Harley Johnson initially went missing from her home in Talbott, Tenn. on July 8.

HAMBLEN COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (7/12): The Hamblen County Sheriff's Office said as of Friday morning Harley Johnson has been located and is safe.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children initially posted online asking for the public's help in finding Johnson after her family was extremely worried for her well-being.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is asking people for help in finding a missing teen from East Tennessee.

According to the NCMEC, 15-year-old Harley Johnson is from Talbott and disappeared from her home in the early hours of July 8. The Hamblen County Sheriff's Office said she may be in Jefferson County, Hamblen County or the Knoxville area.

"Authorities believe that Harley is in the company of an adult male and are urging anyone with additional information on her whereabouts to please come forward," NCMEC said. "Harley’s family is extremely worried for her wellbeing and want nothing more than to bring her home safely."
