MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (1:47 p.m.): The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 87-year-old Jack Ballard was found safe Monday afternoon.
The TBI initially issued a Silver Alert for Jack Ballard after he was last seen in the area of County Road 804 in Etowah.

A Silver Alert was issued for missing 87-year-old Jack Ballard who was last seen in Etowah.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued the alert Monday morning. They said Ballard was last seen wearing blue plaid pajamas in the area of County Road 804.
TBI said he has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance. He may also be traveling in a 2020 gray Jeep Renegade with TN tag 4IL 374, according to TBI.
Ballard is 5'9'', weighs 175 lbs and is bald with brown eyes.
