(WBIR-Tellico Plains) A Monroe County woman is facing charges for the murder of her husband in September.
Michael Strickland was found shot to death in the driveway of his shop directly behind his home on Fairview Road in Tellico Plains.
Neighbors told 10News that Strickland was a well-known mechanic and was well-liked.
Monroe County and TBI investigators said the victim's wife, Marie Strickland, allegedly shot her husband. Authorities accuse her brother, Chris Smallin, of allegedly disposing crime evidence.
Officials charged Marie Strickland with first degree murder. Smallin is facing two charges: accessory after the fact and destruction of evidence.
Deputies arrested the siblings on Tuesday morning and booked them in the Monroe County Jail.
