MCMINN COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (3/19): A missing McMinn Co. woman, Kathryne Alexis Staybrook, has been found safe according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a Missing Endangered Adult Alert early Tuesday morning for a McMinn County woman.
Kathryne Alexis Stayrook, who is 18 years old, was last seen in Athens on March 18. She was wearing a sweatshirt, jeans, boots and a gold flower necklace, the TBI said.
Stayrook is 5'6", weighs 165 pounds and has blonde hair and hazel eyes. She has a medical condition that could prevent her from returning safely without help, according to the TBI.

The TBI said the alert was issued in accordance with the Holly Bobo Act. The act expands TBI's endangered child and young adult alert program to include endangered people under the age of 21.
