MAYNARDVILLE, Tenn. — One of Maynardville's only grocery stores will soon celebrate its official reopening after it received a fresh look and several new services.
Food City has wrapped up remodeling work at the Maynardville location off Main Street. The finished store now features an additional 9,200 square feet of room, adding space for a new Starbucks cafe, an updated food service area and an enlarged floral department. It also includes expansions to several grocery departments, including meat, seafood, produce, dairy, and more.
Outside the store, four more gas pumps and a walk-up window to the Food City Pharmacy have also been added.
Company officials will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. and said select items throughout the store will be marked down for the grand reopening.
“I would like to thank our loyal customers for their understanding and patience during the construction process,” said store manager, Scott Inklebarger. “I think our customers will agree that these exciting new services were well worth the wait.”
