A long-standing tradition returns to Grainger County July 27-29, 2018. The twenty-sixth annual Grainger Tomato Festival features the county's most celebrated crops: Tomatoes. The festival kicks off July 27, 2018 at noon and runs all weekend.
The festival was first organized in 1992 to promote the all of the agricultural products in the county specifically their tomatoes. Today, it's one of the top events of the summer.
Among the events taking place during the festival: Vendors with locally grown producer, musicians-including country star Trace Adkins, who will perform July 28, 2018 at 7 p.m., a Sunday church service, and the infamous tomato wars.
