KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A man is recovering after his SUV crashed into another vehicle and then into a West Knoxville car dealership as he suffered a heart attack.
It happened at Harper Maserati on Parkside Drive on Oct. 18.
WBIR 10News obtained surveillance video of the incident. According to the Knoxville Police Department, it's believed the 66-year-old man went into cardiac arrest as he was taking the exit from Pellissippi Parkway toward Interstate 40 East. Police said he went through the interstate fence and hit a car in the parking lot of Harper Maserati before pushing into the building.
Employees told 10News they began performing life-saving measures on the man to make sure he would live. AMR took the driver to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he is reportedly doing "alright."
