TOWNSEND, Tenn. — Great Smoky Mountain National Park officials and water rescue teams responded to a vehicle incident on Little River Road Wednesday afternoon.
According to the park, two people were taken to the hospital after the incident.
GSMNP said the incident happened west of The Sinks. The Swift Water and Techincal Rescue and Blount County Sheriff's Office's special dive team responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m.
The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
