(WBIR) Maryville College students are enjoying a new atmosphere and fresh taste at meal time this school year. The school's new dining hall on the ground floor of Pearsons Hall also includes a technology upgrade.
Digital screens and online menus offer information about healthy choices. The new food vendor is focusing on fresh, farm-to-table food.
"They're locally sourcing from local farms, they're using local coffee and that's important for not only the quality of the food for the students, but for what we're trying to be as good stewards of the environment," Tom Bogart, Maryville College president, said.
Metz Culinary Management will be providing the college's meals and catering for the next 10 years.
