BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Blount County Clerk's Office confirmed to WBIR that Marcus DeHart, who's facing a charge related to the fatal shooting of Blount County Deputy Greg McCowan, has bonded out of jail.
Marcus DeHart is charged with being an accessory after the fact to a crime.
The charge is related to what police said happened on Feb. 8 at a traffic stop in Blount County, where McCowan was shot and killed and deputy Shelby Eggers was shot by Marcus DeHart's brother—Kenneth Wayne DeHart Jr.
Kenneth Wayne DeHart Jr., is charged with murder, attempted murder and for being a felon with a weapon in connection to the shooting.
Marcus was in court earlier this week for an arraignment hearing, where his attorney Scott Lanzon asked for a lower bond.
Marcus' bond was set at $1 million. He's due back in court in March.
