BCSO: Louisville man accused of biting woman's lip off

The suspect is facing numerous charges, including aggravated domestic assault.

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — A Blount County man was charged with biting part of a woman's lip off.

According to the Blount County Sheriff's Office, Jeorge Padilla, 36,  is facing warrants for aggravated domestic assault, driving while under the influence, driving on a revoked second subsequence, indecent exposure, resisting stop, halt, frisk, evading arrest and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage connected to an incident in Louisville on April 18.

Padilla is currently being held on a $60,000 bond at the Blount County Jail, according to the Blount County Clerk's  Office.

A BSCO deputy said in a police report they were called to the 2400 block of Air Base Road on April 18 for a report of a domestic assault, after workers at a business told emergency dispatchers that a woman walked up to the business and asked for help.

According to the deputy, the victim was covered in blood and had a paper towel covering her mouth.

The victim said her boyfriend attacked her, first by striking her with a closed fist and then by ripping her lip off using his teeth.

"I asked (the victim) to remove the paper towel, so I could see the extent of the injuries," the deputy wrote in the police report. "(The victim) showed me the injuries, and I observed the left portion of her lip missing."

An ambulance came to help the victim, the deputy said.

The victim told police that the suspect drove a black Infiniti and the deputy said they spotted a car matching that description driving by a nearby road.

The deputy said the vehicle was parked on Mentor School Road, and that they began to tell the person inside, later identified as Padilla, to get out of the vehicle. Padilla refused those commands, the officer said.

"Jeorge then exited the vehicle," the officer said in the report. "Jeorge was nude and acting erratic during this time."

Padilla allegedly ran toward the home and refused all orders to stop, before going inside. The officer said they made forcible entry into the residence, however, Padilla still refused to get on the ground.

"I upholstered my county-issued taser and deployed a set of probes," the officer wrote in the report. "Jeorge had a slight involuntary body lock, but Jeorge removed the probes and then attempted to again come at me with an open hand, attempting to strike me."

The officer said they deployed a second set of probes, however, the suspect began to retreat deeper into the home. The officer heard a door slam and saw the taser wires break.

"During this time, I could hear glass breaking in the room," the officer said.

Another officer got to the home and found the suspect shaking uncontrollably. Both officers were eventually able to take Padilla into custody. The officer said they also followed up with the victim following Padilla's arrest.

The victim told the officer that Padilla was arrested earlier last week in Loudon County for aggravated assault, and he called her to bond him out. Once she picked him up, he offered to show the victim where he lived, but the victim didn't want to go.

The victim said they stopped by a lake to smoke marijuana on the way home, and Padilla became erratic after smoking. She said he attacked her once they eventually made it to his home. The officer wrote in the report that a part of the victim's lip was found on the floor in the living room.

The victim was interviewed by police again over the weekend. The victim told police that she'd observed the suspect driving through her yard at one point.

The suspect allegedly hit a tree, almost hit her house, then made a U-turn and left her property. The officer said they observed tire tracks in the yard and estimated damages to the property at $9,000.
