BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Blount County Sheriff's Office announced that a memorial fund has been created for Deputy Greg McCowan's family.
The public can donate to the fund at any Citizens Bank of Blount County branch. If you want to donate via check, it should be made payable to the Deputy McCowan Memorial Fund.
This memorial fund and the Tennessee Benevolent Police Association fund are the only two funds that BCSO is aware of and endorsing.
McCowan died in the line of duty after being shot during a traffic stop on Thursday, Feb. 8.
