MARYVILLE, Tenn. — A Maryville man's case is being bound over to a grand jury after a preliminary hearing in Blount Sessions Court this week.
Bryan Terence Noble is accused of stabbing a man to death and wounding the victim's son in Maryville on Sept. 19, 2023. The grand jury is expected to hear the case in May to determine if an indictment will be issued.
Maryville Police said officers responded to a stabbing call on Sept. 19, 2023. At around 3:30 a.m. that day, officers arrived at a home on Southview Drive and found John Salvati Jr., 74, with multiple life-threatening stab wounds. Salvati Jr. was taken to Blount Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officers found the victim's son, John Salvati III, who also had several stab wounds, according to MPD. Officers said Salvati III was stabbed after he tried to intervene when Noble was stabbing his father.
