BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — A Blount County resort has been named one of the best places to vacation in the world.

Blackberry Farm, and its sister property Blackberry Mountain, were named the first and second best resorts in the south by the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards.

Both resorts are in the Great Smoky Mountains and the annual awards are determined by travelers who rate hospitality, destinations and accommodations nationwide.

“Our mission has always been to welcome guests into our home when they’re with us,” Mary Celeste Beall, proprietor at Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain, said in a release.  “It’s the people that make Blackberry so special – our guests and our team. It’s truly an honor to share the incredible experiences of life at Blackberry, and it wouldn’t be possible without both. Our team exemplifies the authentic hospitality that fueled the dream of Blackberry and keeps it going today.”

Beall will also be the featured speaker at the inaugural World's Best Summit in New York City on July 16 and 17.

“We are deeply honored to receive these awards from Travel + Leisure,” Matt Alexander, president at Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain, said in a release." “Our dedicated team strives to create memorable and enriching experiences for every guest, and these accolades are a testament to their hard work and passion.”
