Alcoa Police looking for five suspects following vandalism at apartment complex

Alcoa Police are looking for suspects following vandalism at a construction site over the weekend.

ALCOA, Tenn. — Alcoa Police are searching for five suspects who are accused of vandalizing a construction site at the Ardmore Apartments.

APD said they believe the vandalism happened sometime between 5 p.m. on Friday, March 29 and 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 30.

Construction workers left the site on Friday evening and there's video surveillance of five people leaving the premises of the construction site early Saturday morning.

APD said construction workers found signs of vandalism in multiple buildings on the site, including destroyed appliances and paint on carpet, hardwood floors, walls and drains.

Lighting fixtures were destroyed and flooding also occurred in multiple buildings.

APD said the apartments have not been rented out to anyone yet, however the damage at several buildings is at likely at least $100,000. 

Police said the suspects appear to be juveniles, based on security footage from the site.
