KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — America's Thrift Stores and Make-A-Wish East Tennessee are holding a donation drive on Saturday, April 27.
This donation drive is looking for furniture, clothes, shoes and working electronics. Make-A-Wish said any support for these children would make a difference.
"Wishes don't happen for these kids who are battling critical illnesses without the support of local people," said Garret Wagley, the CEO of Make-A-Wish East Tennessee. "So local wishes happen because of local donors and local volunteers, so we really need people to come out."
The drive will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9123 Executive Park Drive in Knoxville, at the future home of America's Thrift Stores.
"While doing your Spring cleaning, set your donations aside to bring to us during this time. America's Thrift Stores donates $.05 of each pound of merchandise that is donated to them back to Make-A-Wish East Tennessee," America's Thrift Store said.
