Make-A-Wish grants 8-year-old's wish for a horse-themed treehouse

Paizlee Harkcom wanted a treehouse with a farm life theme. On Thursday, she got her wish.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A young girl had her wish granted on Thursday after different East Tennessee organizations partnered to build her a treehouse themed around horses and life on a farm.

According to a release, Make-A-Wish East Tennessee worked with the Clayton Home Building Group to make Paizlee Harkcom's wish come true. She is 8 years old and was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

She said she wanted the treehouse to be a special place decorated in her favorite colors, where she and her two sisters could hang out, play and spend time together. Designers and builders from Clayton Appalachia and HouseSmart Construction worked to make sure each element of the treehouse was special and customized to her.

Workers put the structure together and trucked it into her family's property. It was assembled and finished there, before being decorated by volunteers.
