LCSO: Victims identified from Greenback stabbing

One person was found within the home while another was found on a separate part of the property, Loudon County officials said.

LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — UPDATE (4/1): The Loudon County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of the victims who were killed Sunday afternoon in Greenback. 

The victims have been identified as 78-year-old James Ramsey and 75-year-old Betty Ramsey.

According to the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, the suspect, Julian Goodrum, was friends with James and Betty's son. They said Goodrum also lived at their house off and on for the last several years.

An investigation is still underway after two homeowners were murdered in Loudon County on Sunday, according to the Loudon County Sherriff's Office.

During the preliminary investigation, LCSO determined that one person was dead inside the home and another was outside of the house on another part of the property.

According to Chief Deputy Zac Frye, at least one of the victims was stabbed. 

LCSO identified the suspect as Julian P. Goodrum, 53. Goodrum is in custody at the Loudon County Detention Center LCSO said.
