LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Loudon County community has a new app to connect with the Loudon County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office posted about the new app on social media, saying it is available to downtown. The app was developed by The Sheriff App, a national company that makes apps for law enforcement agencies, public safety agencies, emergency management agencies and public health agencies.
LCSO said people can use it to read messages from the sheriff or learn about the sheriff's office's different functions. It also provides jail and inmate information and gives people the chance to submit tips about crimes.
People can also use the app to find upcoming events or read news releases from the sheriff's office.
It is available on the Apple App Store and on the Google Play Store, according to the sheriff's office. The neighboring Blount County Sheriff's Office previously announced in November 2023 that a similar app was already available for its county, also developed by The Sheriff App.
