LOUDON COUNTY, Tennessee — A missing, endangered juvenile out of Georgia has been found by the Loudon County Sheriff's Office in Philadelphia, TN.
LCSO said one of its deputies stopped a car at around 11 p.m. on Monday after noticing a driver "failed to maintain his lane" while driving on I-75.
While conducting the traffic stop, the deputy noticed the passenger, a 15-year-old girl, was entered as a missing/endangered juvenile out of Georgia.
After further investigation, it was determined that the driver, Joshua Workman, was attempting to take the 15-year-old to Ohio, according to LCSO.
Workman was arrested for harboring or hiding a runaway child, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violation of alcoholic beverage laws, LCSO said.
"While our deputies continue to do great work each and every day, sometimes certain things are worth mentioning and we’re happy to share this story of great, pro-active police work," LCSO said.
Officials said the juvenile was released to her parents and returned home.
