(WBIR-KNOXVILLE) Get out to vote. That's the message the League of Women Voters of Knoxville tried to get across Thursday night.
The league held a panel with the Alliance House Community of Knoxville to discuss news way to increase voter turnout.
They also discussed new ideas to increase the number of registered voters.
Organizers said it's important for more people to vote to reflect the community's ideals.
"If we have only some people, only some groups voting, we're not getting an accurate understanding of what we want in our community," League of Women Voters President Lynn Dupes said.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization.
