CLINTON, Tenn. β The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce may soon have a new headquarters after the CEO of a business real estate company donated a plot of land in Clinton to the Anderson County Chamber Foundation.
The plot of land is around 1.35 acres and is located at the corner of Charles Seivers Boulevard and Weaver Street. According to the release, the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce plans to move the site of its new headquarters from its previously planned location near North Main Street and North Hicks Street to the new, donated site.
The Anderson County Chamber Foundation is leading the fund drive for a new building that will house offices for the chamber of commerce, as well as new training facilities and meeting areas for chamber members and for the overall community.
It will also have new technology for training and videoconferencing available for members, nonprofits and community partners. There will also be a lobby, a catering kitchen and offices for the Anderson County Economic Development Association, according to a release from the chamber.
βThis gift gives the chamber the opportunity to be much more visible in the community,β said Rick Meredith in a press release, the President of the chamber.
He said the land is located on one of the busiest intersections in Clinton.
The new headquarters was designed by MBI Companies and is the project manager for it, according to the release.
