KUB: Outage reported near Boyd's Creek area in Sevier Co.

The outage is expected to last until 5:46 p.m., according to the Knoxville Utilities Board

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Update at 2:02 p.m. 

There is still no power for the Boyd's Creek area after a power outage was first reported around 8 a.m. this morning. 

The Knoxville Utilities Board is now estimating the power will be restored by 5:46 p.m. 

Seymour Volunteer Fire Department tweeted this morning that there were downed MVA power lines on Boyd's Creek Highway near Jim Fain Road. 

It is unconfirmed if the two incidents are related. 

Update at 10:14 a.m. 

A power outage is affecting 1488 customers in the Boyd's Creek area of Sevier County.

KUB is estimating the power will be restored by 1:36 p.m.
