A local Kroger store has a new way to shop for families with older special needs children.
It's called "Caroline's Cart" and gives parents and caregivers a way to shop without also having to maneuver a wheelchair.
The idea came from an Alabama family who realized their daughter, who has special needs, would outgrow a typical shopping cart.
So far, the Kroger in Fountain City is the only local store with the specially-designed cart.
Kroger says it expects to offer Caroline's Cart at more stores soon.
