KPD: Two arrested in connection to stolen vehicle

Knoxville police arrested two people in connection to a stolen vehicle in West Knoxville.
Itiq Green, 26, of Louisville is charged with auto theft, burglary of a motor vehicle and possession of cocaine.

(WBIR – KNOXVILLE) Knoxville police arrested two people in connection to a stolen vehicle in West Knoxville.

Itiq Green, 26, of Louisville and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody on Tuesday.

Green is charged with auto theft, burglary of a motor vehicle and possession of cocaine.

The 17-year-old boy was charged with auto theft and burglary of a motor vehicle.

The owner of 2010 Chevrolet Camaro reported his vehicle stolen overnight in front of his Jackson Avenue Residence around 10:11 a.m. Tuesday

Police said the owner had left his wallet in the vehicle, which contained cash, credit and debit cards.

A police officer was able to locate the Camaro around 3:34 p.m. Tuesday in the Kingston Pike parking garage.

The officer was able to get a description of three suspects that were seen leaving the stolen Camaro. When the three suspects returned to the car, they fled on foot when they saw the officer.

Two of the three suspects (Green and the 17-year-old boy) were taken into custody without incident.

The third suspect was able to escape capture.

Police said there was an outstanding warrant for failure to appear out of Blount County was on file for Green's arrest.
